Trusting Your Gut

Trusting Your Gut

How good are you at trusting your gut instincts, your subconscious?

Some of us will find this easy, others will get a feeling or a sense and just ignore it-put it down to tiredness, hormones or even digestion!

Many lifetimes ago we were all much more in tune with our gut instincts, we had to be to survive. We we in nature more and replied heavily on our senses for food and shelter. We were much more in balance with cycles of the seasons, the moon and our own cycles.

But just because we don’t go hunting for our dinner (unless you count the skills needed in Aldi when packing) doesn’t mean we have all lost out abilities to sense when something is off. Usually we can’t explain it, it’s just something we feel.

When was the last time you trusted your gut? Did it pay off? There has been several times in my life where my gut was screaming at me and I just brushed it to one side and carried on regardless, only to look back, kick myself and say “You KNEW that was going to happen!”

So I ask when and why? When do we listen and not listen and why? I think it’s got a lot to do with where you are in your life, in your mind. If you’re in a good place mentally you’ll trust yourself more, and listen to your gut. It’s also when your subconscious and your conscious are more aligned with each other, working in harmony.

So how do we get that……..

There are many gentle ways to start becoming more in tune with your subconscious

  • spending time in nature, a walk a bike ride
  • silence, turn off the radio, put your phone away, turn off the tv….for just 10 mins!
  • Space, take yourself to the ocean, a field where you can see the vastness of the sky, stargaze in your back garden….the vastness will help you find balance within yourself
  • meditate, there are loads of free apps, just try a few different ones, start with just 5 mins!
  • write! they say if you want to lean new things read, if you want to learn about yourself write. Try writing some thoughts or feelings down and see where it takes you

Knowing who you are! Knowing your values and beliefs and why you have them!

How do you do this? well NLP is a great place to start. Combined with hypnotherapy and time line techniques you can discover your inner workings.

In an initial NLP breakthrough session you will start mentally, physically and emotionally healing. This can be things that you’ve held on to for years, life sentences that have kept you in a repetitive loop. When you start doing work on yourself you become more open to the world, people will see you differently and life opens up to you.

Essentially trusting your gut = listening to your subconscious is about accepting ourselves, and others…… the good and the bad!
